Congratulations! to Vijay Gupta (EE) who successfuly defended his thesis on Tuesday, June 20, 2006. Dr. Gupta will be leaving Caltech in August for a post-doctoral scholar position at the  Institute of Systems Research, University of Maryland, College Park.

At the CDS Tea, we bade farewell to Postdoctoral Fellow, Rouslan Kretchetnikov, who will  be leaving on Friday June 30 to take up a position as an Assistant Professor in the School of Mathematics and Statistics at Carleton University, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
