Final Exam 2008

General Information

  • The exam will have 4 questions and you must complete all of the questions
  • You will have four hours to complete the exam. This must be done all in one consecutive time period
  • Do not look at the final prior to the four hour exam period
  • Discussion with other students (including other seniors or graduate students) is not permitted until after all of the final exams periods end (that is June 13th at 5pm)

References and Aides

  • The only textbook permitted is the course text (Strogatz)
  • You may also use your course notes and any handout provided in class
  • You may create and use your own notes from other texts (not photocopies of other texts)
  • Collaboration with other students is not permitted

You may not use a computer of any kind (except a basic calculator, i.e. if it has more than one line display it is not basic), this obviously means not software (i.e. no MATLAB or pplane)


Pick up and Drop off of Exam

  • The exams can be picked up from Wendy McKay in 111 Steele. She will have a sheet with your names so you can check off that you have picked up and returned the exam
  • When returning your exam, if Wendy is not in her office please leave your final in the box where you dropped off the homeworks, then send an email to Genti, Dennice, Luis or Molei so we know that it is there.

Seniors, Graduate Students and Special Students

  • Your finals can be picked up at between 1pm and 4pm on Tuesday June 3rd
  • They are due at NOON on Friday June 6th (NO EXCEPTIONS)
  • Discussion with other students (including other seniors or graduate students) is not permitted until after all of the final exams periods end (that is June 13th at 5pm)
  • Please make sure that you check off your name on the sheet when picking up and returning your exam so that we can keep track

Underclassmen

  • Your finals can be picked up between 1pm and 4pm on Tuesday June 10th
  • They are due at NOON on Friday June 13th (NO EXCEPTIONS)
