Preliminary Results on Active Control of Rotating Stall

We present some preliminary results on the active control of Rotating Stall for the Caltech Axial Compressor using air injection. The seminar will consist of a review of the rotating stall phenomenon for compressors, followed by a description of the Caltech Axial Compressor and how air injection has been used to actively control rotating stall. The final part of the seminar will consist of a 10 minute demonstration in Thomas 002.
