Chaos: Unpredictable yet Controllable?

Over the past five years, several methods have been developed to explore and alter the dynamics of chaotic systems. In this seminar, we will review some of these methods with emphasis on work which demonstrates that sensitivity to tiny perturbations - the very property that makes chaotic systems difficult to predict - can make chaotic problems ideally suited for control.
