Extending the group of symmetries of a Lagrangian to the full gauge group

Given a Lagrangian density for a field theory on sections of a bundle where a group acts fiberwise, a new Lagrangian is defined such that it is invariant with respect to the group action. For that purpose, a new field (and a new bundle) must be introduced. This can be applied to the Chern-Simons Lagrangian and to the minimal coupling setting when the group is the gauge group.
