More and more products are being developed to support the presentation of mathematics in Web browsers, and other electronic means. Many of these are based around TeX and LaTeX, by loading special packages to support HTML, PDF and other browser plug-ins. In this talk, examples of several of these methods will be shown.

Using PDF, viewed with Adobe's free Acrobat Reader, has proved to be popular due to its ability to present the highest quality of mathematical typesetting. But that is just scratching the surface of what can be done with PDF files. Some other uses of PDF will be shown, including

reading research papers online; presenting PowerPoint-like presentations; automatic self-marking quizzes.

Demos of some of the tools--PPower4, TeXPower, PDFLaTeX can be seen via the links at the website, http://www.cds.caltech.edu/caltex/2000/
