Syntax Tutorial
- Basic Operators
- + Addition

- ^ Exponentiation
- Parenthesis: Used for grouping and assigning order of operation
- Functions
- Capitalize the function name and include arguments in the bracket. Example: Sin[x], Cos[x], Log[x]
- Brackets are ONLY used for including function arguments
- Log[b,x]: Logarithm of base b of x
- Lists
- Uses Curly Braces to denote lists.
- Elements are separated by commas. Example: {x,y}
- Special Pre-assigned Variables
- pi: Input as Pi
- Exponential Constant(e): Input as E
- Caveat!!
- Make sure you write x time y as x*y or x y rather than xy. These tools will interpret xy as a single variable.
