or Dynamical Systems Theory

Course Description

Topics will vary according to student and instructor interest. Examples include chaotic transport theory, invariant manifold techniques, multidimensional geometric perturbation theory, the dynamics of coupled oscillators, rigid-body dynamics, numerical methods in dynamical systems theory. May be repeated for credit.


Prerequisite: instructor’s permission

Please note: The lecture schedule will be given below; see also the group meeting page for additional information. The first hour, 3-4 will typically be a lecture by someone in the group, a visitor, or a student who wants to get credit for the class. The second hour, 4-5 will typically be for the dynarum group although everyone is welcome to attend.
