Course Description
9 units (3-0-6); second term. Prerequisite: CDS 140a or equivalent
This class will be a continuation of CDS 140a on basic dynamical systems. This term there will be a series of lectures by guests; each will be somewhat self contained, but assume a basic knowledge of dynamical systems and mechanics, as covered in 140a.
The grade will be based on weekly homework assignments and a final project. The project must be approved by the instructors and can be tied to one of the special lecture segments.
Instructors: Marsden and Murray
TA: Molei Tao
