## Need to update outline to match chapter

Action (RMM): update State Feedback outline. This chapter is under revision and the contents will likely change; need to update chapter page to reflect final state. --Murray 10:57, 23 April 2006 (PDT)

Updated contents to reflect the current state, but this action can't be closed until the chapter is closer to its final version. --Murray 15:04, 18 May 2006 (PDT)

## Consider generalizing reachability definitions and conditions

Action (RMM): update reachability definitions. As currently written, this chapter assumes linear single input/single output systems. It would be fairly easy to generalize the definitions of reachability to hold for nonlinear system (being careful about the local nature of the results). We could also extend the reachability conditions to hold for general systems (check that is full rank instead of invertible). --Murray 15:06, 18 May 2006 (PDT)

Action (RMM): Use consistent terminology between reachability and observability For reachability, we ask that be invertable, but for observability (in the next chapter), we ask that be full rank. --Murray 19:03, 18 May 2006 (PDT)

## Decide on whether to use xdot or dx/dt

Action (RMM): Standardize notation for time derivative. This chapter uses the notation dx/dt for the derivative, while in other place in the book we use \dot x. We nee to pick one and stick with it. --Murray 15:16, 18 May 2006 (PDT)
