The Control and Dynamical Systems (CDS) program at Caltech is an interdisciplinary research program focused on developing the mathematical methods of control and dynamical systems theory and applying them to diverse applications in science and engineering.
The CDS PhD program provides rigorous training in mathematics, dynamics, and control, coupled with intensive study of application areas in science and engineering. The program offers a unique combination of analytical, computational, and experimental activities, and connects to diverse research across the Caltech campus.
In addition to the CDS PhD program, it is possible to obtain a minor in Control and Dynamical Systems as either a graduate student or undergraduate. This concentration may be pursued by students who are taking degrees in science, mathematics, or engineering. More information on CDS minors can be found on the academics page.
