You also need to have working versions of the following packages or style files
in your TeX configuration. You can find most of the released packages at CTAN.

Note: hyperref v6.70f is the first version of hyperref that provides all the features needed for the slides with texpower v0.8f. Check CTAN and Stephan Lehmke's websites for the latest versions.

Notes for some Mac and Unix Installations

Unix Users

Instructions
on how to create the PDF files on Unix

Local CDS SetUp (temporary until TeXLive5 is installed):
To set up PATH on cds.caltech.edu machines

Unix users should use pdflatex to run the files. It will produce the pdf file directly without having to distill.

Mac Textures Users

should download the latest version of the Textures drivers (drivers.sea.hqx),
for the hyperref & graphics packages from the WARM website down-under.
http://www-texdev.mpce.mq.edu.au/WARM/drivers.sea.hqx

The 5 macro packages, (hypperref, geometry, type1cm, graphics, texpower) and the style files (bgimages.sty, eso-pic.sty, everyshi.sty) are included here for your convenience: packages_for_marslides.sea.hqx.

It is important to have a hyperref.cfg file configured for Textures.
This file is included in the hyperref package in packages_for_marslides.sea.hqx,
or you can add it to your hyperref package if you already have Version 6.70f installed.
It ensures that the textures drivers are used when hyperref is loaded.

Amongst other things, the new drivers remove the (ugly) outline boxes that appear in the PDF file on the hyperlinks.
