For compatibility with recent versions of 
geometry.sty (V.3 and later),
in the templates,  please replace:


\documentclass[letter,12pt]{article}

by

\documentclass[compat2,landscape,letterpaper,verbose,12pt]{article}

• type1cm.sty is a standard macro available at CTAN. If it is not loaded in your Unix/Linux system please get a copy from CTAN or CTAN Search.
  
  
• If you do not have the proprietary Lucida fonts installed. Omit the option lucida to the usepackage {marslide} or replace it by cm.
  
  
• Do *not* use \bf in the banner headings or bannerstrip commands. The default is bold, sans-serif.
