New
applications like cooperative control and sensor
networks have sparked renewed interest in control and estimation of
dynamical processes when constraints are placed on the communication
structure between agents. Simultaneously there has been a growing
realization that traditional information theory needs to be expanded to
take into account issues like delay and quality of service which arise
naturally in such applications. An integrated theory of the mathematics
of information in distributed and dynamical systems is sorely needed.
The workshop is intended to provide an informal forum
to identify some of the interesting problems and some likely approaches
and tools for solutions in the general area of intersection of control
and communication.
Due to
limited resources, pre-registration is
required. If you are planning to attend, please send an e-mail to Vijay
Gupta. There would also be a $30 fees to be collected at the time
of the workshop. Payment by cash/check only.
Venue: Winnett Lounge (2nd
floor above the Bookshop). Building no. 51 on the Caltech map. Parking is
available in the Holliston parking lot (Building no. 66), located between Del Mar
Boulevard & San Pasqual Street, entrances on Holliston Avenue. You
will need a (free) temporary parking permit available in the lot.
