CDS 111 - Introduction to Control Technology

Description:
The goal of this course is to teach students how to design and implement
linear controllers on a physical systems, and to allow students to
evaluate different control design methodologies on experimental
hardware. For 1994-95, the physical system in the Caltech ducted fan, a vectored thrust flight control
experiment being used for research in robust nonlinear control of
aerospace vehicles. The design methodologies to be used are: classical
control design, LQR, and H_infty (weighted sensitivity).
