What is ε (Lecture 3.1 slide 7)?

Lars Cremean, 14 Oct 2002

There was a small omission in the slide. The variable ε is just a (usually small) positive real number. The mathematical definition of stability should read: "The zero equilibrium point is stable (by definition) if THERE EXISTS an ε SUCH THAT [the statement on the bottom right of slide 7 of lecture 3.1 is true]".
