Can we get a more solid description of what it means for a system to be robust?

Take a look at a previous mud card response from Lecture 1, entitled, "What does "Robustness" mean?..."

In a controls context, there are two types of robustness: robust stability and robust performance. The main idea is to achieve either stability or performance (Note: these two qualities tend to be inversely related) in the presence of uncertainty in the model.
