Problem set #1 has taken a long time and problem set #2 looks longer. Can you shorten the problem sets?

CDS 110 is united as 3-0-6, which means that most students should be able to do the homework with about 6 hours of outside work (including reading, etc). Of course, some students have different backgrounds and it will take longer. If you are consistently spending lots more time on the homework than 6 hours, you should talk with the TAs (or me) and see if we can help identify some areas where you might focus your attention so that it takes you less time. It helps a lot if you can write the number of hours you spent in the upper left hand corner of your homework set, so that we can tune the homework sets appropriately. If the majority of the class is taking more than 6 hours to complete the problem sets, we will adjust the number of problems according.
