Course Description

Topics will vary according to student and instructor interest. Examples include chaotic transport theory, invariant manifold techniques, multidimensional geometric perturbation theory, the dynamics of coupled oscillators, rigid-body dynamics, numerical methods in dynamical systems theory. May be repeated for credit.


Prerequisite: instructor’s permission

Please note: The first meeting of this class will be on January 17th at 3pm. The lecture schedule will be given below; see also the group meeting page for additional information. The first hour, 3-4 will typically be a lecture by someone in the group, a visitor, or a student who wants to get credit for the class. The second hour, 4-5 will typically be for the dynarum group although everyone is welcome to attend.
