2. Optimal control and optimization using advanced techniques, e.g. sum of squares (SOS) and linear matrix inequality (LMI).

3. Model predictive control, cooperative control, flight formation.

4. Many different areas of control such as robust control, uncertain systems, stability of nonlinear systems, time-delay systems.

5. Application of control in network design.

6. Application of control in circuit and communication systems design.
