Our DARPA MSEE project is ramping up; the website is now online.
Some recent work on bootstrapping:
Final versions for recent papers:
A basic tutorial for ROS incoming summer students created by our Scott.
Our bootstrapping paper (slides) was one of the finalists for the best conference paper award at ICRA 2011 in Shanghai. Congrats to the winners (the GRASP lab at UPenn) and the other runner-up (the German DLR, with their robotic arm).
Some recent work: Bootstrapping, uncertain semantics, and invariance (PDF). Partial slides now available.
Some recent work: A group-theoretic approach to formalizing bootstrapping problems (PDF). See also the supplemental videos page.
Added links to slides for most of the papers in the publications page.
Here's a cool video which shows the simulated visual input of a free-flying Drosophila Melanogaster.
Updated pages: my publications list; Research interests and recent highlights; List of recent software projects; list of favorite quotes.
A recent project: PyContracts, a Python package that allows to declare constraints on function parameters and return values. It supports a basic type system, variables binding, arithmetic constraints, and has several specialized contracts (notably for Numpy arrays).
I'm TAing ME132a-b, "Advanced Robotics: Navigation and vision", which this year is taught by the Computer Vision Group at Nasa JPL.
Also, Ivan Dryanovski created a ROS wrapper.
