We pick another parameter, rate constant for cyclin degradation (v2’’), and follow out the boundary of this region or the saddle node bifurcation’s. We ask AUTO to do the following: Change k1 a little bit and the system moves off the saddle node bifurcation. Then change v2’’ just enough to bring the system back to a saddle node bifurcation point.
