09-26-04. Yesterday, there was a carnival on campus. There was a fireworks show followed by "Van Helsing." We left early because it sucked.

At night we had a grad student club trip. A bunch of us left to go to a different club. They didn't let us in because the group was almost entirely dudes. Caltech dudes.

I start classes tomorrow.

09-22-04. Today I went to this orientation event about stress. It was real weird. We had to do a bunch of stretches. Most of them involved raising our arms in the air.

Later in the day I got free dinner. They called it a luau, but no one danced the hula or anything. Some guys weren't wearing shirts. I guess that's the reason.
