CIMMS focused workshop on
Discrete Geometry for Mechanics
WELCOME
to the CIMMS Workshop on "Discrete Geometry for Mechanics"
Recent advances in graphics, discrete mechanics, and
computational electromagnetism, for example, have
suggested that a general theory of discrete geometry
and its interaction with applications and computation
will be an active area of research in the near future.
The purpose of this workshop is to bring together
people in these areas to report on recent developments.
All participants (including those planning to drop-in for some lectures only) should register by Wednesday, October 1, 2003
