To create a course page, first create either a Web page for the class or a wiki document describing the course. You must be logged in with your CDS account. To create a wiki document:
- Click on "Wiki" link under Resources
- Click on [Submit Document] at bottom of page
- Enter title or course as done with Courses listed on on "Wiki" page
- Leave topic as "Courses"
- Leave class as "Caltech Public"
- Enter HTML in Document Text
- For Action, select Preview, or Post to save the page
- Once Posted, the title will show up in the Courses list on Wiki page
- Note the Wiki ID number, shown to the right of the course title
Once you have a course document you can add it to the Courses page:
- Go to Courses under Research and Teaching
- Click [Add Class] at bottom of page
- Enter CDS *** for title
- Enter 3-0-6 for units (if appropriate)
- Enter title for subject
- Instructor format: e.g. Smith
- Hours format: e.g. 1-3 pm Tu Th
- Location formation: e.g. Steele 112
- Enter Web URL or Wiki ID in box
- Select term and submit
You're done! To edit web page, go to Wiki page and edit the corresponding course.
